I really hope that this is just a joke. Anet employeers collecting wintersday presents? Simple admin command would generate presents to fill your inventory in one second. It is probably an act of sympathy towards taiwanese players. Maybe they will see some suprises in their inventories once they can log in again but collecting presents manually is just a pure show.

yeah its ok for the semi casual player but then u get people who go crazy and would totally abuse it ie. leaving their char afk there for all 24 hours of the event just so they can sell all there wintersday gifts for more money

Uh, no. They don't have "simple admin commands".

As you may be aware, there was an earthquake near Taiwan. I'm told that some Asian players have not been able to attend the Wintersday event. Now, I can't get them a hat -- hats are customized. However, what if there was a way to get them a Wintersday gift or two? That's what I'm hoping to do!
So, nobody is exploiting this, we just don't want the items to go to waste. Thanks for understanding.

I'm staying well out of the range of those gifts The gw client get's "lagged" whenever i get near one of those super stacks You know, that effect that let's you explorer the whole town, but after a certain time you'll get either DC't or warped back to a wall where you got stuck
GJ on removing those presents and giving them to the people who deserve it instead of simply deleting them

Computer says NO.....
Tough luck I'm afraid, otherwise we'd have people whining about missing last years events and wanting hats from those as well.
It's not A-nets fault if you can't be there.

This is just sad.
Look, I'm sorry about the earthquake and any real physical damage it may have caused.
But you're whining about a game. You're complaining about connection issues and lag. Guess what, you think a ping upwards of 1k is bad? I often get 4-7k. I get dc'd from lag in LA and Kamadan all the time, and don't even get me started on Kaineng Center, if I ever load in there, I can't map out without half a dozen dc's, no exaggration. It's called dialup, something I have to live with because there is no broadband where I live. And you know what? I get no special treatment for it. I've lost out on a lot of stuff because of it, and there is no way to compensate, and I'm not asking for one. I just want to point out that if your biggest problem in the world is lag issues, and you actually think it's worth complaining about, you need to wake up.

Hi, first of all please try to read carefully next time. Please point out to me any sign of me whining in my post. If you read the post I quoted, you'd know that I was merely pointing out that not only people living in Taiwan were affected by the earthquake. Did I sound like I was exaggerating about lag issues to you? Well I'm sorry if my English was too hard for you to understand but please stop flaming other people when you're the one actually whining about your 4-7k ping on dialup.
Wake up.

Wasn't whining, just pointing out that if you're only problem is lag issues, you won't get much sympathy. I read your post, I read the one you replied to, and yes, it does sound like you're whining. What else was the point of the crying emoticon? That's not a translation error. I'm sorry, but I just think this whole idea is a bit dumb if the only real problem affecting people is the lag (which is what you seem to indicate). If that's the case, there's no reason anyone should be getting anything extra because of a little latency.
Being affected by an earthquake is suffering from damaged or destroyed homes, personal injury or death. Lag is not being affected by an earthquake, lag is a bad day for you ISP. Get over it.

That would be a good way to do it just like Halloween as all the stuff you get there just ends up in your inventory and you can go afk.I think the idea is to make run around like at Christmas looking for your gifts.

Once again you miss the point completely. Yes, I am very familiar with APCN2, I know about the problems they've been having. So what? Internet connections have problems, life goes on. There's other people out there with much bigger problems than this. Get outside yourself for once and realize that there's more to the world than your ability to play online games.

I saw a warrior up on one of the ledges also. It probably has something to do with the rez mechanic because I searched around that area for a way up and wasn't able to find some parthway there.
